A four of a kind is made up of 4 cards of the same rank, plus one unmatched card. This type of hand can be a lot more difficult to bluff than a straight or a flush, but it’s still worth a try.
Pair
A pair is a pair of cards that match in rank and sequence. It can be a set of cards that is similar to the original pair or it can be a new set of cards that matches the original pair.

In the early stages of poker, a good strategy is to play in position. This means that you are the last to act when the flop comes up, which gives you more information about your opponents than they do.
